The crew decided to support the Dutch Royal Family by having it pressed on orange wax. Don't exactly know why, because personally I don't think our Royal Family needs any support, but it looks rather fresh, so who really cares, right? Remixes are taken care of by none other than SDUK, Starkey and Krampfhaft, so it's pretty safe to say mr Halp is in good company.

The “Various Artists” thing is a bit of a hoax, as all the tunes on here are produced by the same hyper prolific Lowriders affiliate who regularly bores everyone to tears with his free mp3 releases. It’s a collection of four Rave/Breakbeat/Jungle tracks, one of which (the Pixelord remix) has been previously released on Car Crash Set some two years ago. Then there’s a Leila/Lil Wayne/Amen mash up, a short, hyperactive interlude stomper and a revamped, remixed version of “Sonic”, an 8 bit style drumfunk tune from the dusty vaults. Oh, and the ep’s name was nicked from a classic series of bootleg Rave releases from the mid 90′s by Vibes & Wishdokta (in case you were wondering). Now go and rave to the slythm.

Rotterdam soundbwoy FFF has been around for a loooong time now, initally making waves as one of the Netherlands's first Breakcore fixtures in the early noughties, but later on switching his sound more and more to one of his first true loves: RAVE. This set of tunes is part of "Hiroshima vs Rotterdam", released on Murder Channel Records late last year. Breaks, pianos, pitched vocals, the whole nine. Rotterdam style.

1.Becoming a father to a healthy, superbeautiful amazingly humoristic baby boy.
2.Still being alive, reasonably healthy, quite insane, roof over my head, food to eat and inspiration to make music.
3.Doing my live sets, some gigs more memorable than others, Fusion festival back 2 back with mesak was amazing. The Les Urbaines-thingy in Switzerland alongside funny boy Frans (aka Limonius aka Uday Napoleon aka Osmo Vallo) and jamming-slamming Joxaren was really fun too, doing a live gig inside the control room at the greenpeace-boat "Rainbow warrior", with live streaming to a club in stockholm was wicked.
4.Trent Reznor winning an oscar for the "Social network" OST. Some good songs on that one, sounded a bit like skweee except I would have done that better so in one way it feels like I won an Oscar!
5.Miramichi/Lazercrotch split 45... SO DOPE!
6.Stileti Ana-"Lipi Lipi"(track from the harmönia "family" compilation)LOL
7.Galactic funk constellations (Electric avenue). Straight up real electro compilation, it features one Daniel Savio track but thats like the wackest track on there still I was pleased with it. Thats how good it is!
8.Wankers United "Leggings"/Daniel Savio "T-bone theme" Another split 45, skweee labels were poor in 2011... Wanky´s track is killer as always and mine is pretty dope aswell, its one old ass song and im really happy it was finally on wax!
9.Planet earth not being smashed to pieces by an asteroid or any thing like that. Thank god. Im always afraid of that stuff, the milky sucked into an enormous blackhole and all this terrible space threats.
10.Skweee cruise(poisonous gases) Compilation... Everything is beautiful on this one, all the tracks the graphics...

I just did a lickle write up on this here ep for the Lowriders blog, and I don't see any reason why I shouldn't just copy the text, so I did it, just like that, hah! Here we go:
It’s still due another month from now, but January 19th Dutch indie hip hop label Fremdtunes will release “The Machine Serves” by Pierce Warnecke. A full blown 8 track ep (or maybe mini album would be a better description) containing 5 original tunes and 3 remixes by Kelpe, Baron Retif and Big Mister Doom. The title track is a Skweee joint pur sang (and a really really dope one for that matter), although I seriously doubt if that was what mr Warnecke had in mind when producing it. Kelpe ups the tempo and provides some 4×4 punch, while the Baron & Concepcion do the exact opposite by slowing it down to half tempo and panning n crunching the living daylight out of the lead synth in their respective remixes. The whole shabam will be pressed on vinyl and will be available as a digital release as well. Well worth your money if you ask me. Shame it isn’t out untill next year, else it would have definitely made it into my 2011 year list. Or maybe it will, regardless.

THE NEW Light Club 7 inch is a continuance of their ascent into the realms of underground beat king immortality. Somewhere in between the likes of Araabmuzik and sampling records in the library slightly drunk, these feather-weight clubbers have returned to bring us what is the most cohesive release to date.

They have not left behind their affinity for all that is spooky though, real talk. "FAHKEET" sounds like an ancient operatic theatre filled with half vampiric rave zombies and half with guys who wanna listen to Lunice on battered dollar store headphones. Leaving the listener somewhat torn between wanting to C Walk and shadowboxing a pumpkin on devil's night.

Meanwhile on the other side of the seven, "My Way" is totally that Library Crunk, where the listener unwittingly finds themselves skimming thru microfish whilst hammering back jaeger bombs. Almost as though the library has been turned into a strip club and the librarians turn into strippers and the professors start throwing research notes instead of one dollar bills. Truly the most Scholarly Booty track in Light Club's catalouge thus far.

My dear and longtime pal who goes by the name of Jermaine Worrester (or at least to the outside world that is) just released a little free digi ep on Myor. And since he practically lives next door, I figured I might as well go over to his place for some Polish vodka and a quick chat about the ep, making tunes and life in general.

Stats.
Jermaine, 20 something, maybe even 30, who knows. Part white, part island. Fulltime working class hero, parttime videogamer and action movie buff. And occasional bedroom producer.

I know you've been making tunes for ages, so how come this is only your first release?
Hmmm, well, I just don't really care about that part of it I guess.. I enjoy making beats every now and then, but I can't be bothered with getting them released or anything. That plus the fact that I rarely finish my tunes properly.

How come?
Hahaha, I think that comes from being around you too much. But seriously, maybe because it was just about doing instrumentals for the local rap cats back in the day, you know. Basically, just looping shit up will often do the trick for that hahah.

Yeah, we just put up the ep last night and I already got an email on Facebook asking if it really wasn't just me again.
Well, you were there when I made 2 of the tunes.. So it kinda is you in a way hahah. But I guess that's what happens when you're around eachother that much. And especially if you're using the same sample packs. Thank you Computer Music hah.

Not really no.. Messed up my foot pretty bad a little over a year ago. And I wasn't really doing it all that fanatically anymore before that anyway, so nah.. But I still watch a lot of skate vids.
